Coronavirus meant that Hythe Salvation Army’s usual Christmas programme of concerts and fundraising events could not go ahead in 2020, so their alternative format event needed a fresh visual approach to attract a new audience.
I built upon the familiarity of Salvation Army musicians, creating three cartoon figures, and placed them into a warm, attractive festive scene. I specified modern typography and designed a wordmark to brand the event.
Due to changing restrictions, the Salvation Army team were not sure what their final layout and requirements would be until the last minute, so I supplied a kit of different assets to allow them to utilise the design elements flexibly.
